FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Theology & Bible Content
What Bible translation does The Park use?
The Park primarily uses the New Living Translation (NLT) because it is highly accessible for young readers and listeners while remaining a faithful translation of the original texts. Memory verses and on-screen text default to NLT. However, because our lesson guides and presentation slides are fully editable, churches have the flexibility to use their preferred translation if needed.
What is The Park’s theological background?
The Park holds to historic, orthodox Christian beliefs as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. Our curriculum is designed to be accessible to a wide range of evangelical, gospel-centered churches. We focus on the central truths of the Christian faith: God’s character, the reality of sin, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the call to follow Him.
How do you handle difficult Bible stories?
We believe all of Scripture is profitable, but we also recognize the developmental stages of the children we serve. For Early Childhood, we focus heavily on God’s love, His creation, and foundational stories of Jesus, keeping the themes concrete and gentle. In Elementary, we begin to introduce more complex narratives and themes of sin, consequence, and redemption, always ensuring that the ultimate focus points back to God's grace and the hope found in Jesus.
Curriculum
Yes. The Park is flexible enough for children's church, Sunday school, and other weekly kids ministry settings. Leaders can choose the teaching format and activities that fit their room, schedule, and team.
What age groups does The Park serve?
The Park provides curriculum for two distinct age groups: Early Childhood (approx. ages 2–Pre-K) and Elementary (approx. Kindergarten–5th grade).
Is The Park a digital kids church curriculum?
Yes, The Park is entirely digital. Upon subscription, you gain access to our online platform where you can download all videos, lesson guides, printables, and presentation assets. We do not ship physical curriculum boxes.
Can we edit the lessons?
Yes! We know that every church context is different. Most of our written materials, including live teaching scripts, small group guides, and parent resources, are provided in editable formats (like Word or Google Docs) so you can tweak the language, adjust the timeline, or swap the Bible translation.
Will The Park work for a small church?
Absolutely. The Park was designed with the reality of typical church sizes in mind. If you have limited volunteers, a small budget, or mixed-age classrooms, our resources are structured to be low-prep and highly adaptable.
How far in advance is new curriculum available?
New curriculum is released two months before it is needed, giving leaders time to plan, schedule volunteers, and prepare environments.
